Rugarama Park Estate Limited (RPE) in partnership with the City of Kigali, intends to develop an integrated housing project in the City of Kigali. We are currently getting into the development phase of the 2,700 housing units project, which will be implemented over a period of four (4) years.

We are looking for experienced and passionate professionals to join our team in the following key roles:

1. Project Manager (REF: PM-RPE-0217)

Reporting to the Project Coordinator, the Project Manager will manage the EPC contract and the Contractor to ensure compliance with agreed project terms and delivery of project phases according to time, cost and quality targets. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys hands-on project and challenging tasks to deliver high quality.

Key Duties and Responsibilities include:

a) Review and approve EPC Contractor proposals, drawings, samples requirements, work plans, and ensure compliance with delivery standards, targets and budgets,
b) Review project plans specifications, building designs and costs; resolve issues and ensure compliance with the EPC contract,
c) Proactively identify and resolve project critical path issues including milestone management
d) Monitor the Contractor’s performance and ensure compliance with contract and quality standards by use of a proprietary PMIS,
e) Receive and review contract valuations and Contractor’s payment requests for payment approval,
f) Monitor and proactively manage project risks,
g) Prepare and submit weekly and monthly project monitoring reports,
h) Liaise with sales and marketing team to facilitate product information and show homes including sales and completion targets in order to optimize revenue from each phase.
i) Manage a wide range of internal and external stakeholders (construction managers, site agents, contractors, shareholder representatives, regulatory and compliance bodies etc.)
j) Supervising and overseeing the direction of the project ensuring that RPE’s specifications and requirements are met, reviewing progress and liaising with the Contractor’s Project Managers to monitor costs
k) Coordinating and supervising Site Agents
l) Monitoring the Contractor’s Safety and Environmental activities with regard to the
respective approved plans
m) Monitoring quality control procedures

Skills / Knowledge / Experience and Qualifications

 A Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Building, Building Economics, Construction Project Management or equivalent with at least ten years’ experience in large scale construction project management.
 Experience with MEP is an added advantage
 Should be knowledgeable and skilled in health & safety regulations, and Environmental regulations
 Excellent IT knowledge and skills including advanced MS Project knowledge and skill.

2. Marketing Manager (REF: MKT-RPE-0217)

Are you experienced, outgoing, active on social media, and love interacting with people both face-toface and online? Are you ready to join an entrepreneurial company, to take on new challenges and to grow into new roles?
We are looking to for a Marketing Manager to build the business and brand presence from the ground up. This includes creating and executing a marketing plan designed to attract the attention and interest of Real Estate customers, guide them through the decision process and lead to the conclusion of home sales.

The position calls for skills in market research, traditional marketing, social media management, customer care, record keeping, trade relationship management and some financial record keeping.

This is a full time role typically 40-50 hours per week, Monday –Friday, some seasonal weekends & evenings.

Reporting to the Project Coordinator, key Responsibilities and Duties include:

 Create brand identity and presence;
 Promote homes through marketing initiatives;
 Draft Press Releases, represent the company to media outlets and major events with prospective clients locally and internationally;
 Manage marketing and sales consultants and agents;
 Achieve full unit purchases by advertising, conducting tours, drafting sale documentation, negotiating sale agreements and enforcing sale terms;
 Maintain social media presence at property level and at a corporate level;
 Maintain up-to-date accurate information on company website;
 Design promotional web landing pages to track effectiveness of other marketing initiatives;
 Seek to minimize marketing expenses, develop annual forecasts;
 Forecast expenses, and profit goals;
 Accomplish financial objectives by preparing annual budgets with assistance, scheduling expenditure, analyzing variances and initiating corrective action;
 Provide sale price recommendations by surveying local sale prices;
 Provide design and layout of corporate signage;
 Prepare reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data and trends.
 Regularly update skills by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, maintaining personal networks, participating in professional organizations;

Skills / Knowledge / Experience and Qualifications

 Bachelor’s degree in Business studies, marketing or relevant field an MBA will be preferred.
 Advanced MS Office user including graphics design and Powerpoint tools
 Proven track record in similar role or at the level of Senior Sales & Marketing Manager not less than 4 years in the relevant region
 At least 2 years of experience in residential sales preferably in mixed use, phased and multi-unit projects.
 Experience with managing budgets/cost control, and planning, prioritizing and organizing work to meet targets.
 A lateral and innovative thinker, an original problem-solver.
 Specialist knowledge of sales/marketing techniques, research and analysis.
 Self-confident, decisive, resilient and able to thrive under pressure in a fast-paced
environment.
 Excellent presentation and public speaking skills

3. Administration & Communication Officer (REF: ACO-RPE-0217)

Reporting to the Project Coordinator and frequent liaison with the Marketing Manager, the Administration and Communication Officer will actively support office operations while ensuring timely and frequent feedback to customers. Duties revolve around helping colleagues by managing/distributing information within the office, handling external enquiries/visitor, social media communications and general office support.

Key Responsibilities and Duties include:

 Handling Visitors: Respond to telephone and email enquiries, attend to and provide general support to visitors
 Communications: Maintaining and sustaining RPE social media communications including RPE website communications, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, etc.
 Records: Maintain office records including a filing system; Produce and distribute
correspondence memos, letters and forms; Assist in the preparation, typing, editing and proofreading of minutes of meetings and regular scheduled reports
 Correspondence: Maintain contact lists; dispatch outgoing communications; Distribute minutes; Receiving, preparing and sending packages
 Office functions: Planning , organizing and scheduling meetings; Oversee administrative aspects of training, seminars or workshops; Manage meeting room schedules
 Accounts: Assist with bookkeeping/accounting functions; Monitoring and recording
expenditures; Banking
 Office Equipment & Supplies: Operate a range of office machines; Coordinate maintenance and repairs to office equipment; Order and maintain inventories for office supplies
 Travel: Book travel arrangements including accommodation
 Refreshments & Cleanliness: Oversee the preparation and presentation of refreshments; Oversee overall cleaning of the office

Skills / Knowledge / Experience and Qualifications

 Bachelor’s degree in an Administration/Communications-related discipline or equivalent

4. SALES ASSISTANT (REF: SAS-RPE-0217)

We are looking for a real estate Sales Assistant based in Kigali and reporting to the Marketing Manager. In this role you will be responsible for assisting our customers to find the most suitable homes for purchase. You will act as a property guide to provide professional guidance to buyers in order to facilitate the purchase process.
Key Responsibilities and Duties include:

 Determine customers’ needs and financials abilities in order to propose solutions that suit them
 Provide professional guidance and assist customers identify homes for the right price under the best terms
 Liaise with the Marketing team to generate leads locally and internationally.
 Develop networks and cooperate with attorneys, mortgage lenders and contractors.
 Remain knowledgeable about real estate markets and best practices.

Skills / Knowledge / Experience and Qualifications

 Bachelor’s degree in a related field
 1+ year work experience in the Real Estate industry is essential
 Previous work experience in the Real Estate industry preferred
 Demonstrated ability to assess customers’ needs and financials abilities in order to propose solutions that suit them
